FREEDOM OF IMPRESSION! That is what I have been calling this idea that freedom of expression is balanced by the converse freedom of impression. My writings have focused on how social media platforms are removing that freedom to control what is impressed on us in our feeds, but it also applies to libraries.

Libraries are part of the social mediation ecosystem that is an essential element of freedom of thought. We think socially, through a cycle of Thought => Expression => Social Mediation Ecosystem => Impression, leading to more thought.
